60 day compensation

I've seen others mention 60 days of compensation for those getting laid off due to the WARN act. Is this true for all those that get let go? And if you happen to be in the second wave of lay-offs, lets say in September, would you still qualify for this 60 day compensation since we are now aware of the lay-offs?

the warn act states that in a large layoff, the employees have to be notified 60 days before the layoff. The announcement by the CEO on 7/25 is the beginning of the 60 day notification. Those who were laid off two days later received 60 days pay since they were terminated immediately without the 60 day warning. I don't expect that those who will get laid off in late September will get a 60 day severance because the letter of the law was met with the announcement on 7/25. Talk to a lawyer if you need more clarity.

It only makes sense they will also compensate. If not lots of law suits will be happening.
