I'm a recv lead and I'm blessed to have had a job for over 25yrs.I have been working on the sales floor lately because we were told there was too much pay roll in receiving.I know my time is almost over with this company,but the waiting is starting to take its toll.

Manager of my store said 2-3 months,maybe sooner with major changes coming.Revamped store hours and schedules.Unfortunly some positions might be eliminated,but before xmas for sure,maybe right after some inventories.
Receiving clerk 32 years. Right now I do office job, check in trucks , cim and put in location and then go to floor and do a location report too. It gets tough but I manage to get through it.
I would advise anyone working in retail, regardless if you work for Sam's, Walmart or any other big time retail. To start paying off debt, start saving or increase your saving amount. Retail is not the same. I worked at Sears for over 18 years and my store closed down. I am glad I had a little saved.
So what is everyone predictions? Is this going to happen before Christmas or after? My managers seem to think they are done laying off until next year. I am always on edge anymore. I'm the receiving lead.

We already only have me and the invoice clerk. I am tired of speculation also. I gave decided to quit reading all this speculation and just do my job everyday and pray they realize that it would be stupid to get rid of 1 or both. I love my job and have been with the company for 25 years. I think they are already regretting getting rid of all the audit.
I know God is in control of my life and He will take care of me in whatever happens.
Exactly! I just want to know. Let me go or tell me I'm safe. One or the other. Quit making it so difficult to go to work and wonder if it's your last. I'm so tired of speculation.
