Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Lay Offs Not Performance Based

For years I was the best on my team. My skill ranks among the highest in Information Technology. My manager laid me off because he is afraid of my skills might be higher than his. I basically ran the team and was the brains. Lucky another team noticed my reputation and hard work ethnics and hired me. Jobs are going over sees. If your manager doesn't like you he will let you go no matter how good you are.

Paul, it appears what you mention is more and more of a trend these days with mgmt there. If you don't mind me asking, did you see a decline in your performance rating with no concrete coaching feedback (or corrective action) provided to improve before you were included in a workforce reduction? If so, is there maybe a way we can get in touch to discuss further?

India has no concept of banking industry. That's all I know for sure.

Someone should really talk to the Trump administration about all the jobs going to India. One tweet from Trump and I'd guarantee that Dimon would back down with moving all the positions overseas.

Quite honestly, this is not exclusive to JP Morgan it is endemic all around USA and it has been occurring since the 1980's when China was admitted into the WTO.

Why pay 20/hr when you can pay 20/wk?

Thanks outsourcing globalists!

JP Morgan Chase every year has been laying off top talented people, stating there is no work, and making people work over time with not paying them over time benefits. They lay off people around 64 years old, and with the company over 30 years. There is a big lay off for the month of September 2017

I can say i have been at Chase for years and morale has dropped over the years, if you don't fit in it's uncomfortable, but you can't avoid the layoffs
