Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Has anyone transitioned to a new position within Humana before? Just wondering how that whole process would work.

Thank you for clarifying. I completely misunderstood what my friend had told me. So glad for this board!

I have been through this and what you're saying is not true. If you apply for a position and an OFFER is made to you, you have 24 hrs. to accept or decline the position. If you accept you obviously won't get severance because you now have a new job. If you decline before the 24 hrs. is up, you are still eligible for severance. If you don't want the role you were offered but don't officially decline it within that 24 hr. period THEN you become ineligible for severance.

Good to know. Do we better be careful we don't apply to something with a salary we can't live on.

The only thing I know, is if you apply for a position within Humana and end up turning it down you will forfeit your severance.
