Not trying to start a debate, just sharing a recent news article:

I made the original post. The 500 was reported in local news in February, and the additional cuts this last round of approximately 2-300 were not. It's amazing the department has this many people working for it and national news has not covered it.

I could never collect that amount of money while others couldn't feed their children. We live in truly disgusting times when men and women like that collect unnecessarily inflated paycheck a while the wealth disparity gap widens and middle class disappears.

Right, and before someone comments that this is how businesses operate, and if we were CEOs we would take what we can get as well, we get it. We know. It's just a lot to take in in light of the fact that so many are trying to figure out how to take care of their families going forward.

"Humana's current CEO, B B, and former CEO M M were paid a total of $71.4 million from 2010 to 2016.

BB joined the company as president in 2011 and became CEO in 2013. From 2013 to 2016, BB has taken home $42.9 million. MM was CEO of Humana from 2000 to 2012. From 2010 to 2012, he took home $28.5 million."

I put initials in place of names but this is directly from the article. I know this is normal for large companies but when I read about our coworkers and former coworkers that are struggling to pay their mortgage, or put food on the table, this makes me sick.

If the amount to be impacted is even close to what has been speculated here, there will be some media on it. I learned about this site from a newspaper article after the February round. If less than 500 impacted, it might not be covered.

Ha! Someone should anonymously notify the big news and let them know to date BB has essentially laid off 800 from HAH with more to come. Very successful man there.. apparently it's measured in dollar signs
