Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

If we get our notices in the next 2 weeks, most of us will run out of severance by the holidays if we don't find another job.

Time to cash in Go365 points for Amazon and Target cards for holiday gifts!

Regarding 401K's, you can borrow up to 1/2 of the amount in your 401K if you have not been notified of a layoff. If you are notified that you are laid off, you cannot borrow. It takes less than a few hours to have your loan approved with Charles Schwab. BE VERY AWARE..... You may be penalized if you are no longer employed so set at least 1/3 aside for Uncle Sam. Just an option. You're welcome. Hurry!

Well since unemployment in my state is maxed at $275/week that won't even pay my mortgage let alone feed my family and pay the electric bill.

What about unemployment?

If a large number of us are going to be laid off within the next week told two, and we are coming on here to sort it all out, I think we are going to need to be prepared for posters to visit just to dump salt on the wound by stating the obvious. It's easy to do on an anonymous site. The job market is going to be tough? The next few months are not going to be a walk in the park for many of us? No s--t. OP was just commenting on the timing, no need to unleash on her / his thread.

The stock market is up so our 401k's should look a lot better than they have in the past. I guess a bright note if we get layed off is we can get our 401k's transferred out before the market crashes.

Nobody on this thread was bashing Humana or analyzing the job market, just commenting on the timing and how it will be rough.

And like every other board on this site, you guys are wholly myopic, thinking your company is the only one experiencing layoffs.

Not at all. Your entire industry is in a state of shock right now with layoffs. Good luck finding another job!

Oh, and it isn't just your industry either, it's the entire economy. The "recovery" was smoke and mirrors, built on loose credit, low interest rates, and doubling of the national debt. Party's over, time to pay the bill.

Most PHCs have been here 2- 3 years= 4-6 weeks of severance. Bummer!

Severance is based in years completed so some can get significantly less than others. Good luck to all who will be impacted. I feel we are all at risk. My concern is when all the rosters mi e to include just monitored. I would think that would boost roster size and I would hate to see rif 4 around thanksgiving I hope they get a handle on it all.
