ASM is pretty sure our Kmart will on the next closing list. Rumor is our lease is up at the end of the year, but it's not "confirmed." I guess it's a good sign that we still have a phamracy, but Blue Rhino picked up their tank last week, even though we were selling about 3-4 tanks per week.

We did really well during the Inventory Blowout sale, the only store in the district to comp up to LY in July.

At this point, who knows!

Don't kid yourself they already know what stores are closing, ask the liquidators in the closing stores, if they will tell you... they already have their next store and supplies ordered to start in September... not a troll a real person at a store level . Looking for the end ! Not going to walk away yet ... i want my due ... if severace is still available at the end

Following traditional patterns, the next round of store closings will probably be around the middle of next month.

A person I know who's a PM at Hoffman got laid off a few weeks ago. They did it while he was on vacation! Came back in and was laid off that day. Terrible tactic, considering they must've known before he went. Beyond that, once they're laying off project managers, that's a trickle down effect of their being less projects going on. Less work being done internally as a result of less people to DO the work and more projects being either put on hold or simply not getting started due to budget/personnel constraints.

As for further layoffs, as always look for a bunch of conference rooms all booked up at the same time with little to no detail listed.

I'd like a new job and I am looking but I'd take laid off right now. I can't afford to up and quit with no income but I fantasize about it every shift. Walking out never to return.

@leo, I feel ya. Trying to get all excited and energized for a holiday season when you know it's the last one just isn't doing it for me. Even though I'm hourly and it's when I make the most money, I pray that I am not there.

If this isn't the last holiday season, the 2018 surely will be and I don't want to live through what it takes to get there.

To Leo if you have been with the company a long time you will probably stay and the newer asm's will be let go!

Well 8/1 is tomorrow so has anyone seen any signs? Thursday seems to be the traditional day for positions directly affecting the stores.
