Just got email from Joe White sent to all employees saying 1st wave of layoffs are complete. He said and I quote "Yesterday we notified several hundred employees whose positions have been eliminated as a result of this organizational redesign. "
So I guess at this point they are just informing the stragglers from Wave 1. All the best to everyone.
Any ideas or hints on when wave two is coming?
The clinics closing is not the second wave.

So if this is all a surprise to Molina mangagement team, then what you saying is that even you (as a supervisor ) as well as your manager are part of the layoffs?
i think what needs to be understood is that your bosses who were making these promises were not part of the decisions being made above their pay grade as most of us were not aware that this would happen. It is always possible in a company undergoing changes but the people who made these decisions were on a much higher and corporate level. Which is why employees and the public were all made aware simultaneously. Your boss nor my boss can promise anything when they are not making final decisions that affect Molina as a whole. Everyone is equally surprised even up to VP's who were not given heads up because of the legal and sensitivity to these situations.
It's hard to believe anything they say. We were told a month or two ago there would be no lay-offs. So who knows. It could be anytime. I guess we just pretend like nothing is happening and keep working... ???? I'm really not having much luck with that.
