I'm an 18 year associate cashier and we get blame us for all the shrink, not self checkout or scan and go or what I call "scan and steal" and the door greeters can't touch the carts and count anymore which is ridiculously stupid, corporate has lost their mind for common sense

It is to hard to get into your old personal and sick time. I have 192 hours in sick. I think I should have worked the system back then and used it instead of being a dedicated worker and going to work sick. Now you can't use it for yourself if you ever could get to it. I miss the audit team also. Things at when are messed up but I mostly miss them as friends. I use to have fun going to work to see my friends and work hard but now it is just work. Things will never be the same. I think they will bring it back partially.

a cashier or cos for 5 yrs or more? didn't think that existed. that's a revolving door. you either quit or get fired from that job. only the long time assoc that are in recv and the offices are in jeopardy. when you see more self checkouts then cashiers will not be needed.

Don't no about any body else, but we surely do miss our Audit team. Shrink is horrible, cim a nightmare and moral is at it's worst. Everybody going in circles looking for merchandise that is not here. Lot's of us worried who will be next to go. I think a lot have mentally checked out and just do not care anymore. Which reminds me, has everyone used up what you have in your personal and sick leave buckets? We got screwed when changes were made last year on this. These changes were done in our company handbook right before these changes on our accumulated time went into effect. When was the last time we were given a handbook...20, 25, 30 years ago?

This is so true the younger generation can't keep them....Sam's don't care about member service.

Good help can be taught with the right training, but it seems the agenda is to have high turnover to avoid benefits.

Are you kidding ? Can't keep the little amount of cashiers and COS we have. These young kids do not want to work hard. Turnover is so high, that's why they are always short handed. Too many call in's, long lines, and bad service.
