Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

No emails for me yet...

Anyone know if they've started? And when can those remaining breathe a (though limited) sigh of relief that this round is done? Anyone heard anything?

Thank you for sharing last poster! I always appreciate encouraging words from those who have been through it.

Looks like Thursday is the preferred day...

Just a guess for timelines- I was laid off last round. I checked my calendar dates, and the 1st layoff was Thursday, Feb. 2. I was notified Thursday, April 27. They let us take PTO the rest of that day and Friday without using PTO, and we had to work until the following Friday...I took PTO that next week- there was just no motivation to work. If that scenario happens again, you should basically have the next 5-7 weeks "off" until your term date and then severance checks begin. My suggestion is to be prepared, use any time you have to get any admin things cleaned up. My coach knew we were not going to be productive and never said a word about metrics the last week- why would they care? Please, take care of yourselves and your families- the stress was not worth it. I refused to let them s--- the life out of me once I was notified...I actually made it my goal to enjoy the gift of time...and started networking like crazy. Try to figure out your budget for the time you have. Use your WOW/go365 points (you still accrue those and PTO until your actual termination date, which is about 60 days out from being given notice). Connect with anyone who gets laid off with you, and get #'s of any team mates, contacts, etc. that you may need. I've stayed in touch and it's been very helpful. Don't let them rent space in your head-as much as is possible...I really just forced myself to say, this is my time to do what I need to do and make the best of it, and now, less than 3 months later, i am starting my own thing and life has never been better. Try to see the other side of where you will be and how you'll feel with a better job and no daily chaos and stress. Praying for anyone impacted- it's not easy but you WILL see the light!

How the Che/hcmss is tasked changes 8/7.... No longer using specific area identifiers..... Sign that reductions will happen this week....it would be nice if people could volunteer layoff... Every company ive ever worked for offered that! So people who dont have any other options for some reason or another.... Can still have a job

We will have to stay tuned for the next episode of "Survivor: HAH" I guess.

I really don't like this season.

I have not heard of anyone getting a confidential email this morning. Looks like today is probably not "the day".
