It felt so great to leave such a dysfunctional, hostile and morbid place. I have been job searching and as soon as I got word that I was hired, I was GONE.
Literally gone, as in I left the building that very second, telling no one on my way out. Threw my name tag away, clocked out and left.
Ordinarily I would have given notice after the way I had been treated by the store manager, and the way the store manager was treating other employees, I left. She is very rude, she doesn't even acknowledge us when we walk by her office (since that's where she hides all day). She holds the threat of termination over everyone's heads for not getting PAs or credit. If she doesn't do that then she throws insults around like "I can always get better people in who can sell PAs and get credit." Two young ladies left her office in tears earlier last week. I hope they leave too.
In fact, I'd love to see nothing more than for the rest of the store to walk out, leaving our b***h of a store manager to ring people up, get credit, get PAs, set POGs, unload trucks, do all of the office tasks, face all of the customer complaints, and a million other things it takes to run a Sears store. I wonder how long she'd last.
