Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Is it better to quit on Monday or Friday?

Most people I know have quit their job on Monday but I always wondered if it would be better to quit on Friday. Also, what would be the disadvantage of only giving a one week notice?

Getting benefits through end of month was my personal experience after resigning. Might be different for diff levels. Can't hurt though to time it like that.

1xbi you are correct, the is no leadership, mgrs knows how to manage reports but there is no staff leadership.

I believe your benefits will only last until the end of the current pay period unless you have worked with the company for over a certain period of time. Don't remember what the exact time was but I believe it was in the 20+ year range.

HR should be able to answer that and since they monitor this site frequently you should be able to get an accurate answer soon

Better to quit on the 1st, or early in the month. Healthcare and some other benefits remain active through month-end.

That would be ideal but it is just intolerabe to work there. The broken processes and lack of leadership is just too much.

Quit which ever day you like, one week's notice is fine if you are not planning on returning any time soon. Good luck to you, I've also decided to quit mid week.
