Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

To Boeing from Honeywell DV: Please buy us!

The employees in HW Areo are ready to serve you! We have been beat up by the Schizophrenic culture here now we are all like whipped puppies. You would have an experienced and greatful workforce!

The better choice is to move into a new industry, if you have the skills to transition out of Aero.

I used to live in Sammamish, WA when I was working at Boeing. The King County property taxes and housing prices are brutal. I had an 1,780 sq ft house which was nothing special and paying $7,200 yr just for taxes.

The previous posts all had good comments.

Look at Glassdoor.com for Boeing software developer jobs with the Pro's and Con's comments. Yes there are good Pro's comments but the Con's comments are very telling. The Con's comments sound almost identical to Honeywell to the point regarding the bureacracy and managerial oversight with the downside being similar to Honeywell.

On top of that the median housing costs in the Seattle metro area are over twice that of the Phoenix/Glendale/Mesa metro area. Median for Seattle is about $680K, Redmond $795K, etc.

Deer valley is the REASON Honeywell has a new competitor. Unproducible designs and inability to deliver software on time and on budget will close the avionics air transport business, at least for English speaking customers.

While Boeing may be no knight in shining armor...they are at least bringing things back in house....Honeywell is Outsourcing everything......there is no future at HW Areo...there may be at Boeing.....

Do you really think that Boeing will keep the jobs in the US?

Not very many and R&O would probably be sold off to partners.

But, it certainly can happen but most likely won't be quick.

Boeing is worse than here, believe it or not! It too, is nothing of its former glory, just we have no identity to the good old Garrett days

You seem to be under the impression that life is good at Boeing. Might wanna drop by the Boeing layoffs board, where you'll find out life at Boeing is a nightmare now too.

Maybe you would consider checking out what's going on at other companies, so you have a better perspective, a more complete understanding of your own industry.
