If you have a company known for not drug testing who do you think you will attract?

Good for the drug addicts because drug addicts need jobs too. Just be prepared to deal with drug addict behavior. And no, nothing can be done unless drug testing is instituted company wide. I suspect the STL was high as a kite. This is a hippy company and a perk of the job. I can see why people would need to use drugs to walk through the door to work.

It is a job but a demoralizng one. Maybe that is why it is considered a cult. As far as caring for the environment, all three bags (waste, recyclables, compost) from the trash goes into the same compactor. There was no use of separate areas in the back for "waste, compost, recyclables". There was one compactor that people put everything into. Team member happiness and caring for the environment.

Read your state laws about testing. Random tests can only be done if they have evidence or suspicion that u are using. Dont give them reason.

There needs to be drug testing for hard drugs and psychedelics other than pot. If you use those things, I don't want to work with you. You're a danger to yourself and others, besides being an idiot.

They do hair tests and random pee test. Salvia test if they suspect. Btw if they want to reduce headcount, this is one way to do it. Cheaper than layoff

Drug testing is not on the horizon. Besides, a little research shows that Amazon uses the swab test on their new hires. A swab test is the easiest one to pass especially for those of us that do need to medicate with the ole herbage.

Go burn one and forget about it.

IBD: One more thing. Please be thankful that it's so easy for you to be normal. You may be surprised to learn of the amount of pain, tragedy and grief that others may struggle with on a daily basis, for reasons that may have been outside of their control, but are able to put it together enough to function and smile while they hand you your pizza and TM coffee. Just getting up in the morning and leaving the house is a struggle for some. PTSD is a big one and it's not as simple as go and get some help, a person can be in therapy for years and it's never fixed, it's just more of an ebb and flow and daily management.

IJD: this would also include medical m-r-j-a-a and non-psychoactive CBD users. A number of my fellow Team Members use this therapy for legitimate medical reasons (cancer, chronic unrelenting pain, PTSD, AIDS, MS) while they are not at work. Since this therapy is legal in my state and the results they see from this therapy restore such a quality of life, it seems unnecessarily cruel to deprive them from a therapy that does less harm than most standard legal prescription drugs and alcohol. If they aren't intoxicated at work and they aren't operating and dangerous equipment, why take this life changing therapy from patients in need?

Cast stones all you want, but this issue isn't a black and white one.

If you aren't guilty of anything, why would you care?

If you can't function without drugs or alcohol in your system, then you should seek help with that.

If you can't work, without helping yourself to something that you didn't pay for while you are there, then you don't deserve the job.

Quit whining about having to be a normal human being

I don't think there's any reason to worry about these things yet. Lots of people on this site who seem bored with their own lives, trying to cause a lot of unnecessary drama. Lots of doomsday scenarios. I know it's entertaining, but just do your job everyday, fine-tune your resume if you're worried, and continue with your lives. Christ.

Are we going to do drug testing now. Oh man, the last thing I need this month.
