then get back into it ! There has to be life after ORACLE and time is a great healer.
The only party happening is on the 11th floor of the 500 building. Instead of pizza it's probably champagne and caviar.
You might have access to bottled water and some tissues if you're lucky.
Can they lay us off and serve pizza? I won't mind that. Would help soften the blow.

The grass is greener! Got almost 1/2 years salary from Oracle and picked up a fabulous job with a market leader. Earn 20% more, and I was well parts for non West Coast. Plus RSUs, bonuses. WFH with regular travel. Great team, fabulous work, and great technology. 23 days PTO.

I was a director, left on my own in 2013. Went to Accenture as a Senior Manager, promoted to a Partner (Managing Director) in 2015. Working about 10% more than at Oracle, travel is the same, making about 25% more and having about 50% less stress. Not ideal, but works for me.
A director friend from last rif told me that amazon got a salary base cap. It is tough for oracle director to get an equivalent base and equity match. He ended up with as startup dev manager job on 101.
Not true. Oracle Directors have landed at SFDC, Workday, Google, Microsoft, and even Amazon. No one wants to stay at Oracle including the VP's. Everyone is looking for an exit plan outside of the 3 leaders at the top.
Don't worry folks. The turf is greener outside Oracle unless you're director level. Nobody wants the Oracle directors.

I was effected in the last round after 17 years of service and many accomplishments - All I can say at the time of your uncertainty is that I emphasize with you, and that you will be fine despite of how ominous it may seem for now. Take a deep breath and let the process work itself out - You will find the next best thing sooner or later! ... and remember this is an at-will engagement.

I just checked the conf room reservation here in SCA. I did not see anything unusual so far
The longer it takes them more we get paid for doing nothing.
Memories of the big Sun layoff in 2001. We all knew it was coming, but it was still a jolt to see them come in and cover the conference room windows with butcher paper ahead of the day.
Show up to work tomorrow with huge signs and protest. Boycott their products. Tell them you won't buy their cloudwares. Only then will they realize they messed up when cloud sales don't materialize due to all the protesters.
There you have it - massive cuts in all aforementioned locations.
