Or part of a mandatory re-application. It's not uncommon. Ppl that think this is some kind of savior sweeping in are foolish. This is part of making money. Wake up. I'm not saying panic but wake up.

Lol the only drug testing that is likely to occur would be as part of the application process, calm down.

bahaha. I can't wait for drug testing. :D never understood how there's NO drug testing, with this company. I bet over half of leadership is currently going through crazy withdrawal, or just quitting because they know they're going to fail it.

Accountability has been new for us...and we now have it with SOP. Their will always be slackers in the workforce...like weeds on the lawn. Anyone fearing accountability should reevaluate the situation and work as hard as possible or move on.

So when do the regional Grand Poo-Bahs and their bloated staffs full of old college roommates, ex-girlfriends, ex-boyfriends, neighbors and various other incompetents -- when exactly do they get fired? Oh and don't forget the people at Global who consciously wrote massive stock option checks to themselves rather than properly invest in modern technology? When are THEY held accountable and frankly, DRUG TESTED? The TMs I know have always worked hard -- the whining is coming from way up at the top and always has. It's time for Amazon to come in, FIRE THE TOP RETIONAL AND GLOBAL LEADERSHIP and take over. Can't wait.

I agree!

The part of the quote that you left out:

"...employee morale could start to deteriorate, at least temporarily, as employees come to the realization that mediocrity will not be tolerated"

NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT

It's about time all of the whiney TMs learn what the real world is like.

And, just for the record, I am a TM, not in leadership

'Eventually, we have a hard time seeing how existing management survives. AMZN's culture could not possibly be more opposite to WFM's. We are not referring to pay and benefits, we are referring to accountability, and, in our view, accountability at WFM was never an area of strength...'

Bring it, I say.
