Power Services at brink of disaster

Thanks to Mr McElhinney and his CFO Tim Donovan our services business the once crown jewel is becoming a business that is quickly becoming a disaster for GE and more importantly for our customers. The intimidation and bullying tactics to magically create a market that wasn't there has resulted in tactics that at best could be described as riddled with questionable compliance concerns, strategies to create cash that will have long term ramifications on the future and a culture that one dare not question directive no matter how ridiculous those decisions are. Get ready for the result of all the decisions of this out of touch Leadership team as massive layoffs are on their way to cut cost going into 2018. All this as the people responsible try to protect their own hides at the expense of employees and their families. The typical excuse will be as always the market has deteriorated... how about the Senior Leadership team continues to deteriorate. People have been telling them for two years we're not facing reality... but that fell on deaf ears with threats to make it happen. Yet they will survive at the expense of others. Integrity once the fabric of our culture is gone thanks to the pressure from above... so much so people have given up on reporting compliance issues as all you get back is a typical canned response and even worse the fear of retribution keeps people from even submitting them. Thank you Paul and Tim for all the families you've let down and Mr Donovan you were once a man people respected but you've fallen into the same executive trap where saving you're own a.... is more important than doing the right thing. Anyone not looking outside this company for a job is naive if you think your safe.

I left a different services business at GE not long ago and I completely agree. How long until the house of cards collapses?

I personally know of serious integrity issues that involve executive leadership in GE Power. Yes, I will be reporting to authorities and executive HR very soon.
