4 years at TCO Tengiz. Never tested. They took drinking infractions seriously and tested at the clinic for cause. I dont think much pot use at site, but lots partook off rotation. A urine test would have eliminated a lot of US expats.

Expect to be drug tested, treated like S@@T, bullied etc...... If you really did good on all you PMP's and make alot of money now you should really be worried. I worked offshore on a drillship for DWEP for nearly 5 years and never randomly tested once, although contractors were regularly rounded up and tested at the heliport.

1iqb - I can believe it. The guy you describe is not the only 'great company' employee to be totally lacking in ethics and morals. Just look at the 'great company' fatalities that have happened recently. Track record of them.

As far as I am aware, the company only does urine testing for employees.

I knew a chevron manager in nigeria who smoked a lot of weed over there. Every time he came to the corporate offices in Houston or san Ramon he would Get a visitor badge and swipe his visitor badge in lieu of blue badge to avoid being drug tested. This went on for years. He is still with chevron and a lot of good folks shown the door. This individual was well protected and everyone too scared to call him out. This is the true chevron and it is a sic company

If you cannot pass a hair test, you are a moron! If you are an employee, you are working for a great company and you should not be taking any substance that will cause you to fail a hair test. Grow up!!!
