I have been reading this post today and having gone through this process as well. 22 years. I moved 9 times with this company. All the moves benefited everyone involved. So I have no issues. 2 great kids and a wife. If I didn't do these moves all of what I know today would not be. I can not imagine my life without them.
These posts are valid. Pursue your cause. You should. As you find your new you and find your next move, please remember no one knows your situation like you. You know what you put into it. Your the CEO and President of your life. You may be the CEO of your next job or make your way to that. In your next role be the next of what you never were never given. Be the next leader who gives a $h!+. Maybe your former leader was this and they had to go through this without choice or consideration for anyone. The executioner of you will. Not easy for anyone. At the end of the day your kids sports team may be sponsored by Nike. The swoosh is not a person. It's a symbol of inspiration for some. It will be someone's beginning. Please do not be filled with hate and resentment. Again pursue your nexts with Nike if you feel you were wrongfully let go. You must find closure. They must deal with the fallout. The deserve it if the have it coming.
I have attached a TED talk about leadership. It's good. 11 minutes long. I am writing this because I really and truly care. A lot of you I know. Keep moving forward.
