I am so sorry to those who have been forced out.
It isn't your fault if you didn't challenge the system and were placed on a struggling project, or under an incapable supervisor.
Unfortunately employee productivity is also being blamed for Nike's current financial struggles, i.e., not successfully executing the strategic plan, rather than dealing with that the plan hasn't been that great.
Otherwise we'd see more VPs, directors and managers laid off too... Here we have some hard life lessons to learn.
Hopefully, whether you are in or out, this utter and painful mess will motivate us to try and influence change and not just fester bitterness (which I completely understand).
