When are tech workers going to stop being pushovers and form a union to protect themselves! I left Nike because of abusive business practices; regular bullying and requirements to work in excess of 80 hours a week -- nights and weekends. They like to brainwash people into thinking that you live to work. You have no rights in tech work unless you collectively bargain! Nike doesn't care about it's workers; the executives are taking in massive profits and laying off people at the same time.

Wife works for an union shop. To sum it up for you: THEY DO NOTHING FOR YOU. I like the concept of unions, folks band together to help each other against exploitation by the management. In reality, you pay Union dues ($100, $200 per month) and that money goes to a bunch of full time guys who barely put in 2 hours of work every day, are almost illiterate and are in bed with management. Keep in mind, I have over 25 years of experience in this area - she worked for three companies and all three of them were unionized - they all s---ed - they were identical.
