650+ employees in IT will be outsourced and retitled to consulting firm. It will be part of two phases - 9/14 & 9/28.

Yeah he owns the clinic Doctor contracts and I heard he's going to buy the clinics. That would explain why desktop support was recently tasked with inventorying the clinics and regional offices.
Someone was posting about the Molina family and just to let you know Mario Molina is starting a new company with direct patient care as the business model and to keep his fathers legacy alive. More to come.

The reorganization affects everyone, as a whole. They are reorganizing to set at industry standards. Good luck all!
IT is the the largest target for cuts because a health plan is mostly an IT company. Others provide the service to people and MHI like other insurers manage claims electronically. If you read the stock news (free apps all over the place) you will better understand the mechanics of what is planned. MHI is reorganizing (mostly closing or selling) the businesses that actually deliver services to people like Molina Medical Group, the business C. David Molina (founder) actually started and built. You would think the Molina children would be screaming about this legacy ending but too much $$ (shares of stock) are still held by them. They are in a dilemma...family legacy or wealth for this last generation before business is acquired.
Has anyone heard anything about departments other than IT? Or is that where the main focus is with this reorg?
