Irma heading to Florida so what does Bezos do? Price gouges hurricane supplies on Amazon.com.

yeah because bezos personally controls the individual pricing of hundreds of thousands of items...
A huge of their offerings are THIRD PARTY. do you even understand how amazon works? How alot of whats in their warehouses is stock for other vendors? Not everything that shows up in an amazon box is sold directly by amazon.
its notmal for high demand items to go up in price. s---s if you really NEED it, but it also prevents alarmist hoarding. the real criminals are the ones buying and reselling at an inflated cost. ive seen a few things so grossly overprived only to find they were from third party sellers OUTSIDE the us.
Supply and demand is affected during a hurricane. When they run out, they have to source from other places. It isn't always price gouging. Duh?
Check your sources and read ALL information available before contributing to the myre of "fake" "alarmist" news out there. What you are referring to is a RETAILER selling (i.e. "Shop") selling THROUGH Amazon's site. Just like shops on Etsy, Amazon doesn't set prices for independent retailers (which is in the hundreds of thousands). If it reads "Sold by Amazon" then yes, they've set the price (primarily Prime merch). Below is a link to copy and paste:

Google: amazon price gouging, and see what shows up.
