Revenues will shrink significantly. More importantly, profits will shrink even more severely.

Licensing will not be based on selling price of device but a flat license fee. Regulators are pushing for this and will happen soon. This will slash licensing revenue and profits.

What's left is commodity low price market where we fight with low cost Chinese vendors, some of which are vertical. And wait until Samsung decides to fill their empty fab capacity by rolling out competing mid and low tier chip sets. Can we compete against a vertically integrated company on cost? Much more challenging times are ahead. Hence the severe cost cutting and layoffs the management are doing and planning.
