i find it way too much to give my money to a company that took my job away. so yes i spend a little more, drive a bit further but that’s what i do. to support a company that showed me the curb due to rif or reorganization just wont happen. since leaving i’m finding more and more shoppers refusing to shop there. there was a time you couldn’t find a parking space on sat afternoon but definitely not so anymore. walmart and sam’s are their own worst enemy.

Actually,I have found items on walmart.com that are cheaper on amazon, vitamins, supplements, clothes. The difference in prices can be compelling, and it has pushed me to order from both walmart.com and amazon.com. Ultimately, you have to think about what you are spending your money for: Whole Foods was such an experience some 5-10 years ago, and then there were hardly any other organic stores. Now I will absolutely always get my organic grocery from Walmart because I really cannot justify the higher prices at Whole Foods which really is the cost of the experience (the store decoration and atmosphere, which targets high-income customers). Now amazon is slashing some prices but that remains to be seen as a lasting trend because amazon is just absorbing the cost in order to retain customers. Grocery industry works with such fantastically narrow margins that there isn't much price slicing companies can do. I do understand the comments of people above in terms of loyalty to certain brands, that is a personal choice. However, I think that my loyalty is to myself and I have learned to check things out. One can find great prices on walmart.com, amazon.com, jet.com, etc. So when I can save $5-$10 for an identical item with identical expiration date, I will choose the cheaper price, even if the experience is not as "buttery".Now, getting 50100 million items online (walmart has caught up to amazon in that respect), honestly, you'll get a lot of useless crap in there, for those sites and others like eBay, etc. I would love to have a personalized small store with the high-quality selection of items that I consider worth spending money on. Whichever company can reach that level of personalization, and keep the insane amount of irrelevant crap away from my browser, I will likely be a dedicated customer. So far, I have not found it. Amazon prime day feels like someone unwrapped the pallets of stuff hat remained on the "virtual shelves" and decided to dump it on the street. Walmart's Black Friday store crowds are notorious. Some customers need that shopping dynamic. I personally prefer to know that the companies I shop from understand my preferences, and do a better job than "customers also bought....". So I would say to this whole discussion: as a customer, you can make whatever choices you'd like and spend your money however you'd like, you can boycott based on principles, preferences, or choose the lowest price, the best experience, or the broadest selection. I think that everyone is different, and we can get the data to look at shopping and loyalty trends to see how each company's approach is reflected in the customer satisfaction.

I try not to shop Walmart anymore. From what I can see they haven't been treating their employees very well.

Am I in the minority of people who won't shop somewhere because I think the retailer is crummy?

I never shop at Walmart, physical or digital. Kroger is closer and the same price. I've been a Prime member for years now and have no reason to try walmart.com, Amazon is too good.

Amazon gets a lot of our money. We signed up because of the video streaming but after getting used to two day free shipping I can't go back.

I don't shop Walmart.com. The website is awful. I don't shop Jet either. What's the point when there's Amazon?

I like Aldi, Fresh Market, and Whole Foods has pretty good prices since Amazon got hold of them. Those places are just easier to shop. The supercenters are usually crowded, dirty, and it takes forever to get in and out of. And those days I can't even find the stuff I'm looking for anymore. If I'm going to have to make multiple stops anyhow, I'm not dealing with the hassle of a supercenter. The prices aren't good enough for all that. I'm too busy.

I haven't tried grocery pickup. I prefer to do my own shopping.

I do but only spend 15% of my grocery bill with WM. They removed many items from the store I used to but like cat food my cats liked. They have a poor gluten free selection and their fresh produce isn't the greatest. Their grapefruits are usually top notch. I have many more options such as Aldi's, Kroger's, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Meijer and a local chain similar to Whole Food's called Fresh Thyme.

I'll hit Sam's 3 to 4 times a year but also have a Costco membership. The club's each have items I can't get elsewhere. I also shop Amazon and have never purchased anything from walmart.com.

I was never a big fan of the supercenters. I tried to support Walmart when I was with the company, but I struggled with going there. I always felt bad for people who worked in the stores. The online experience is not good, too frustrating, I gave up on it. I work elsewhere now, far from NWA, and like food shopping at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and Metropolitan Market.

I've had a Prime membership for a long time too, the customer service is fantastic! Lately I've started spending a lot of money with Amazon for some big home furnishing purchases; they carry Ethan Allen furniture! Once you start shopping with Amazon, you can't stop yourself.

They keep deleting items so I've taken to ordering some of my stuff on Amazon. Aldi is great for the fresh stuff.

I wish we had Costco near us though.

I think Walmart screws the customers less than their associates. So I’ll probably continue my customer relationship with Walmart regardless of what happens to me here. Their Pickup service saves my life when I have to grab groceries and I have the kids. But I do also shop Amazon when Walmart’s selection is lacking, which happens surprisingly often.

I have doubled my efforts to spend money anyplace other than wmt. I still have a discount card but, would rather shop at Amazon. I never paid much attention to the way WMT treated store employees when I worked there until the same kind-of heavy-handed and double-speak tactics started happening to my friends an me. I am looking forward to the day WMT has to start closing stores because of poor management an increased competition.

I avoid the supercenters. There's no point in going. Half the store has nothing I want.

What I hate is the out of stocks and the checkout lines. And self checkout is the biggest pain. If I'm going to do all the work, why go to the store? I can just order online and it comes to my doorstep in a few days. And prices are about as good as Walmart anymore if you're a prime member.

Never really shopped at Sam's for several years. I do go to Supercenters and NMs, but I have to tell ya, I shop Amazon all the time. Mostly it's for stuff I don't need (except subscribe and save!), but it's just a better online shopping experience. The other day, an ad on Facebook for the day's lightning deals hooked me and I dropped $50 on 2 sweaters and a toy for my kids.

Shopping on wm.com is an unpleasant, frustrating experience. And idk if it's gotten better, but have you ever tried to return a dotcom item to a store? The WORST. Nobody knew anything. It was electronics so the return date restrictions were different, the store didn't know the dotcom policy or even the phone number to dotcom's customer service or help desk.
