Townhall conference on Friday, I get the impression this will be the announcement about switching from DSD . Heard from a publix in Charleston they had a meeting about taking over Nabisco product early 2018.

When is your sales meeting?
We have one scheduled on the 24th
I'm hearing similar package to Kelloggs.
Not sure if they'll tell you at a sales meeting.
Last time we had layoffs we were on a conference call with our regional HR manager.
Sales meeting called for early January. Any thoughts that is when they will announce the end of DSD? Any rumors of any packages that will be given?
Not hard to sell Oreo and Ritz via warehouse.
Something is definitely going on.
Stores are starting to tell me that they will be taking over ordering in the 1st quarter of 2018.
Sounds like we're done
They will let us know when it is most beneficial to them. New CEO will announce layoffs is my bet. They have been planning for the transition for years, don't let them fool you with, "we're committed to DSD" phrase" as managers have been scripted to answer with. DSD is a dinosaur in an evolving market and it too expensive a model to allow us to be competitive. Just be be open and honest, one of the core values of our company, practice what you preach! Notice the increase in hires of merchandisers, once it is announced we will see a mass exodus since PT help probably won't be given an incentive to stay till the end, like full time will. We can only hope Mondelez offers a respectful package, similar to Kellogg's package to Keebler which included reps keep their company cars. May be wishful thinking?
Kroger has been notified also.
March 2018 is when it's switching to warehouse. Nice that Nabisco tells everyone but their employees :(
It won't be released in a town hall meeting, in my opinion. Historically they will hold a conference call for the region by the regional HR. The new CEO starts in November, and he is slated to "save" 3 million $ from the 2018 budget, guess how? My bet is after he starts, he will announce. This is how senior management is getting away with "we are committed to DSD", the heavy will be on new guy. Reality is, they know. A global company as big as Mondelez has these plans in the forecast years out, you think they would make a decision of this magnitude in a month or two? Notice all the smaller depots closing?? And consolidating to larger ones? Not a model for DSD, but a perfect model for warehouse, when instead of servicing individual stores, they go direct to the warehouse. Don't be surprised!!
Any updates? How did the town hall conference go?
Possible
My fear as well
