Layoffs at the GEHC plant in salt lake city last week. This was preceded by early retirement offers. Meanwhile, they are hiring people out of Mexico and paying for their relocation and visas. Down in executive row, millions are being spent on cosmetic changes to the building like... new showroom that has yet to see any significant foot traffic, brand new furniture in common areas, and they are in process of building a google like collaboration area. If they are short on cash where are all these millions coming from? It's not like the building is in disrepair, this is all purely cosmetic stuff! Who is watching the spending here??? At least they FINALLY cut off company vehicles for exec band last week. There is no reason these guys can't pay to drive themselves to work like everyone else! No wonder GEs financial performance is so poor with such questionable and unnecessary spending going unchecked.

Hahahaha... I work there, and clearly the person who posted the original has no clue. There were only a handful of total incompetent people let go. I hope whomever posted that is next.
