Edward Screven, the boy man that looks like a child care worker that is sick. ES thinks Oracle Linux will make a difference. Right, there are many other Linux options out there and Oracle's wont make the cu. lol

"We will support our customer through 2034, atleast 2034. "

Which customer ? I wonder who are the poor folks who still have the indignity and shame of calling themselves Solaris customers. Now, layoffs will be done dependent on customer sales. And , with no net new sales, the leftover ES /Solaris will be in decay , slow but sure. People left around are the ones who are incapable of finding jobs outside.

"Oracle Linux as compared to other Linux OS, come on."

Oracle linux has no market. Nobody uses it outside oracle. Eventually, ES will have to trim it down too.

These guys started talking about ES after the last layoff. Because all the folks from solaris and hw have been transferred to ES org and RIF happened afterwards. Now ES is bs , OL is bs. Before that nothing on linux, ES, pillar. Giving real news helps , not fake news. Oracle should learn a good lesson, that everyone expects, ex or current. Good luck.

Well...could be "fake"....but in the same way that "it's going to rain today in Seattle" is fake news. Any given day, it's about 70% chance of being right.

Yes, the WARN people are all still in ARIA.

I believe that count includes all the SCA WARN folks. The real number might be only 3000 or less.

Good point. But we can still use it as a measuring point in case those in the 10/12 RIF don't get the benefit of WARN.

You can get off the ship while it still floats or stay on it while it takes on more water and go down with it.

Working at Oracle is really stressful. Not about work. There is no work. It's job security. Almost none under AWS and Azure monopoly.

Oracle is trying to keep Bare Metal engineers, but most are bailing. Seeing what a scam Oracle is, I know where I work in Seattle, 75% of the engineering team will take jobs with AWS. Paying more money and better working environment. They don't lay you off and take back your RSUs.

ZFSSA is a good product, so you have to kill it. Oracle Linux as compared to other Linux OS, come on. Pillar the POS of POS's will never work. And ES really has no clue as what to do with his org. Remaining ZFSSA, Solaris and Pillar to really take it in the rear end.

Eddy won't have many people left soon. Does anyone know who is getting the axe? The remnants of Solaris - aka giving up on the mythical 11.4 release, the remnants of ZFSSA - aka giving up on the final minor release, large parts of the Linux orgs, the Pillar org - doomed from the start.

It's starting to look like it's all over for ES's org completely. There is no need for them because TK doesn't use his stuff and the company is spending $1.1 billion in layoffs this year.
