Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

CSEs being laid off every quarter

Why is no one mentioning the steady reduction of CSEs (techs) from each service district each quarter. Seems to be about 5% of the headcount every quarter with a combination of voluntary and involuntary reductions. Must be significant nationwide.

I am a Xerox CSE who was laid off in March. The person who laid me off had a list of people to lay off and a stack of forms that I had to sign. I was doing a good job I think, my performance evaluations were ok, but I had only been working on Xerox copiers for about 4 years and everyone else in my service group had more training that I did, including Production machines was not trained to maintain. By policy, we could not work on machines we were not trained on. I think the upper management at Xerox has been told to reduce their headcount and they are starting from the bottom up to lay off people and the rate they are laying off people probably corresponds to the rate of customers they can turn over to 3rd party vendors every month.

Perhaps Xerox can profit from selling all the "hoochie shots" stored on their "imaging systems... " (copiers...)"
