Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Supposedly Grass Roots scores at Sam's were some of the worst in the company

I don't know if it makes any difference but supposedly the Grass Roots scores at Sam's were some of the worst in the company. Unsure if that's true. What do you think? Was it Home Office, the Clubs, or both?

Both have been hit pretty hard with layoffs these last several years.

Our score was a 52%. Worst AES meeting ever. The boss acted like they had nothing to do with the problem.

We have not had a grass roots meeting in 7 years. The first one was the first year I was hired. I know our scores have gone down but we have managers that don't care and the company has not improved just keeps getting worse. They get what they deserve a low score and some.

Our club still has not even told us what the score was and never had a meeting like in the past.

36%?! Jesus! I've never heard of scores that low.

I don't know mine yet. Hopefully not 36%. What was that AES meeting like?

ANYONE that thinks this is totally anonymous better think twice. so either skip the ridiculous survey or be careful how you respond. while no one will say anything to you at the time just wait till you want to change jobs, be ft whatever. it won’t be forgotten

I've seen the reports from the gm's sign on. It tells them for instance office personnel - which narrows it down to area, tells them how long the associate has been there, and so on. It's not rocket science to figure out who is who. Our office category is 3 accounting and 1 ptc. We have all been there different amounts.

if anyone thinks they can’t narrow it down to who then you’re dreaming. if they truly wanted to then it can be done. one or two in a dept means nothing. when the whole dept seems unhappy they used to care but not now. that would indicate a mgr issue anytime you leave a footprint then it’s there for good.

In regards to AES, there may have been areas that you checked approximate years of service. If you

are with the company 10 years

and checked 10 - 15 years, it narrows the pool. They still don't

know the actual individual.

This years survey was only 16 statements. Just finished last week.

The reason we sign on to do the surveys to prevent associatesfr submittingmore than one survey.

In the past, our facility had more

surveys submitted than associates!!!

I know it's not confidential. I gave a bad rating last year and my GM called me into the office to ask why I gave such a bad rating. I said well what happened to confidentiality? She said oh yeah I forgot about that well I just knew it had to be you. Yeah. Ok. Smh.

so how do you think it’s confidential when you sign on with your own id? really. when a question has a low rating they find out if it’s concentrated in one area, ie, the front end, then narrow it down to who. now the gm prob does not have direct access however the mm or reg hr can no doubt get it. it’s supposedly done thru 3rd party but so what

We were told that we had better not have a low Grass Roots score this year in our Club so I lied on my survey to protect my position. I found out several weeks ago that the Club Manager did go in and look at how we rated on the survey and they also knew who rated what. Now that's BS..these surveys were suppose to be confidential. If I'm still there next year, I refuse to take this survey again!
