No it has nothing to do with licensure.

Slow your roll, poster. Poster below was just asking a question and maybe they haven’t spent a ton of time on this site, where it may have already been discussed.
You don't have to be licensed to bill Medicare. This has been explained countless times!
Lith? That makes little sense if they're going to be expanding to the home....unless they are looking for licensed people so it can be billed under Medicare, and becoming more of a home health agency?
Huge LTIH rif. Fcms, managers and their managers to be terminated. No one is safe even with full caseloads.
Coaches reading this - I’m sure you know that below poster was not speaking for all of us. Even if it was just a joke, I know how things get online, and I amsick of all of the division and tension this year.
No way to generalize one role: “all coaches are this way, all nurses are that way....”. There are rock stars and also incompetent fools in every role, in most every profession.
Coaches have nothing to do??? What pi* cra planet you on? Lol And you want information??? G.F.Y.
One of the below posters is correct- depends on what dept and director if coach gets notified.
Not all of them had a “say” or submitted “evaluations” with previous RIFs. Oh and good luck with HR giving you all the details lmao- you can find rif policy on policy source ;) buuuuuuuut again, depends on the dept you’re in and director to determine.
Makes since because 3rd quarter layoffs are finished 10-30-2017
Speculation is that the next lay off will be November 1st to clear out associates by 60 days before January 1st to avoid having to pay those lump sumps to associates for pay raises.. I wouldn't recommend Humana to my worst enemy.
Are you kidding about the coaches not doing anything?
We need coach 22 to clear things up and then maybe coach 100 will confirm. They can't be that busy everyone knows coach's have nothing to do.
When did they ask for evaluations? Within last cpl of weeks? I keep hearing some people say HAH won’t be hard hit because this is company wide and HAH has been decimated enough, but then I hear things that seem to conflict with that as well. So confusing.
What type of things were on the evaluations? Were associates numerically ranked?
I think it depends on the program and directors. Last time I didn't know until the night before which associates under me would be cut. No evaluations were done. This time I was asked for evaluations. Still doesn't mean I know who will be impacted. I can rate everyone high and they can still be cut. I'm probably cut. S---s all around.
By the way, don't believe the coaches when they say they don't know who is getting cut. They have a lot of say in who gets cut. They are asked to evaluate each person on their team.
I don't think coaches and com's are going to be spared in this round.
Coaches get the axe just like everyone else. Not sure why people think coaches have secret info. Just crazy
"Last round all coaches were on a call with HR- notified about a month prior."
This statement is very interesting to me. It means that my coach is a very good actress because she put herself right in the same boat with us claiming no knowledge until the same day people got their HR emails. My trust level just dropped even further than it already had.
Associates are not tapped for other positions. You are completely on your own. Humana offers little assistance to those impacted despite what they say. There are so many employees trying for open positions, it's much like swimming the lottery if selected.
For the coach to say she/he is not aware of upcoming lay-offs, you are not being honest. Coaches were not told dates or which employees but were told of Q4 layoffs. Coaches know more than they say.
Also, coach....if coaches had a month notice, does humana "tap" potential layoffs if they would be good for another role to let them know, or does HR help point potential layoffs in a direction of a role for them to transition to, or is it all the same gambit with the laid off person applying? Does Humana advocate internally to move people to roles if they're being laid off?
Prior poster....as a coach, with that HR call a month before, did you know who was being laid off, or just the number to be laid off? I wonder if coaches will be told after they figure out who is doing early retirement, which Demos are closing out and then figuring the RIF from there.
I am a coach and was not told who, when or what.
Op- are you a coach?
Last round all coaches were on a call with HR- notified about a month prior. This “round” is very different.
I guess it’s better we are all past the “some of us are safe” nonsense so we are ready for wherever the chips may fall. Fool me once...
I am the OP and was referring to HAH layoffs not company wide ones that are also occurring at the same time.
Ah got it.
Correct. They posted this up coming round of layoffs in the high page and the other four rounds of layoffs were not commented on. For Human to put something in writing about upcoming layoffs is not the norm and tells you something unusual is up
But they did post on the HI page already as one below poster wrote.
This is also company wide so may be managed differently. Upper management is probably going to be included in this round. Humana does not usually write about layoffs in the Hi page. This round will be significant.
Coaches don't know who, just to expect
Aren't coaches usually notified a few days before? Can anyone confirm this has been the case with previous cuts?
Does anyone know when the lay off will be?
Roles and names not known yet.
Do you know if layoffs are planned for SNP? Coaches have not mentioned a word of it.
So the coaches have been given the names of the people that will be effected?
Thanks@ OP, for sharing this information with us. 👍
Me too, below poster.
So glad to hear the process is starting. I want to go ahead and get this over with.
I appreciate poster letting us know upper management has now directly been told about the layoffs. Thank you!
Well, thanks, but that's not really news. We've all been informed of the upcoming layoff via the article posted on Hi on 9/25. It stated clearly that there will be a reduction in force within 60 days. No one admits to knowing for sure which roles will be impacted, so we are none the wiser. We still have some coaches telling teams to be prepared for layoff, and other coaches telling teams that they are safe and not to worry.
