I've been trying to figure out if the 1,100 job cuts that were announced by Cisco a few months ago already took place, or are these layoffs we keep hearing about still a part of that? Just wondering if we will be able to relax any time soon. If these are still a part of the 1,100, at least we will know there is an end in sight. If those have already all happened and these are additional ones...well, then I need to see my doctor about Xanax or something like that.

It really bad. Cisco now try save money by stop offering voice mail to employees(opt in) So now when someone call you it just say you not available and hang up on them.
Let them eat cake!
Sorry PHuL2cl-avq. There are a bunch of good places that will pick you up right away.
I was impacted as well. Account manager on the GES team. I was over 100% of my Q1 number too... I just don’t understand why me?
Before grabbing to Xanax, go switch your job outside of Cisco. That stuff will f*** your head up, don't do it to yourself it's not worth it. Trust me, I went through all of this.
Xts - exactly, this leadership has no sense of doing the right thing. Unfortunately most of Silicon Valley has lost that concept. There was a time in sv that when all partners and stakeholders win then everyone wins. For example That was the concept behind rsu’s and options. Now the valley is set up for a few winners (usually the vc’s) and a bunch of losers. Btw - going through the motions to donate or push to save (insert your favorite charity here) for some good pr falls very short of what it means to do then “right thing”
Well, we need to fire people so execs like Kelly can get raised and grow RSU pools SLT. It's the people deal.
The CFO received a $600,000 raise. How can you layoff thousands of employees while giving yourself such a raise?
I know some folks were let go yesterday. I have been told these are additional, unannounced RIFs, affecting at least SBG in different locations (Boston, San Jose, etc) and different functions. Must be across -Cisco, but nothing official or transparent about it!
Last earnings they indicated that the total number would be reached by EoQ1. Guess we are here. Time to finish the number....then set the new number.
I guess Chuck Robbins has a different definition of transparency than I do.
Does anyone know how many were let go and it what areas?
Two things are for certain, you can never relax and you are never far from another LR. Stealth or otherwise.
I was one of the people let go and asked my manager the same question and was told these layoffs are a separate deal.
