Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Are we looking at more layoffs?

I was just wondering if anybody else thought that this latest move (ADI distribution business spin-off) will be used to have even more clandestine layoffs? It's a perfect opportunity for Honeywell to get rid of a number of positions within a positive narrative that will prevent any bad press (if they even care about that by now). Just curious about what other folks think.

By the way this is being rolled out, the spin..... they think who’s stayed thus long will stay till the end if they sell off. They don’t care about employees or what they think. After all if you as an employee cared, you’d more than likely be gone by now.

I’ve just started getting my pension after six months severance and 37 years in Phx. Life is great now that I don’t wonder and worry every single day because nobody will tells us what’s going on.

Good luck boys & girls.

nothing to see/read here, more entitled, disgruntle employees pulling the rest of Honeywell down....always whining and complaining rather than driving improvements and completing ideas to make the workplace better!!

You don't like it, trying being positive in the workplace and influence positive change....if not, go work someplace else! Honeywell will be fine with or without you....probably better without you!

qpk There are no chains holding your tail to HON. If it's hell resign and move on. Geeze like a few months of pay are going to matter that much.

Of course there will, this is the future of honeyhell; addition by subtraction. Condense 3 roles into 1, then debate it to band 3. Merge departments, then RIF half of them, effectively doubling the workload on the remaining employees. In roles they can't or don't want to fill, you send those offshore to someone with a single letter last name. This is all standard operating procedure; HON standard work, if you will. It's all about creating shareholder value at the expense of employees. With each American they RIF, they're that much closer to the culmination of dairyass's wet dream of being a cutting edge software company, with very few permanent employees and enough money coming in to build a Scrooge McDuck style money vault for him and the board to swim in.

Of course we are. My site is about to lose 15 people..not related to the spin-off but the timing is quite suspicious. Basically two departments are being "consolidated" and those 15 people are affected in different timelines (similar to completing the spin-off next year). Some will be gone by November (and likely no holiday pay), others by June of next year, the rest by August.

It's happening...and likely will continue regardless of the BS ALT spits out at us in town halls....
