Thread regarding Sears layoffs

This charade is bound to end soon

I would hope that people don't think this charade will go on forever. This has been a slow, well telegraphed process over the last 4 or 5 years. The well thought out chess moves have proved witting. This process will be an excellent case study for universities for years to come. Laws should be changed because of what has happened with Sears. I sure hope Sears USA turns out better than Sears Canada. I think the Canadians lost their pensions and got no severance. I do feel that Sears USA has some safeguards and the PBGC to pick up some slack. Time will tell.

So much this, @PHYkE1W-vxl. I truly hope somebody learns from this disaster.

Why are the people in the top mgmt not leaving especially those reporting to Eddy are they bound, how do they feel when the rest move on. Are they strapped tightly to thier goldn parachutes which only Eddy will let open. The VP of MSO ( call centre ) has resigned will be leaving end of the month.

Fast Eddie is probably trying to figure out how NOT to fund the underfunded pension and to get out of paying the people that have earned that pension!

The pension problem plus all those loans coming due in 2018.. I just don’t see a turn around happening!

Christmas season 2017 is looking bleak with the lack of customers shopping currently.

I just hope the people won’t be screwed out of their pensions

There has been talk of getting the courts involved when this goes bad for sears USA , but i'm sure Eddie has already lined up his top lawyers to fight anything we throw at him.
