Any rumors of getting rid of useless Technology Team Leads?

Some of these people posting are making comments that every position is useless. Apparently they are not employed with Sam's Club. No position is useless, they have you doing the job of 2 people no matter what position you hold. Its the managers positions that are useless. You will not see a manager doing WORK at our store.
I would say there is useless people in some positions. All these positions are valuable in clubs especially with long term partners in them. I know are long term partners that are left does more than 1 job. So it's not the positions it is the choice of people that your clubs choose.
Our Technology Team Lead works all over the club. Quit calling people useless. It is hard enough as it is. We are all in the Titanic right now, hope you secured yourself.
Original poster, would you mind elaborating on exactly why you think the Technology Team Lead position is useless?
It's not that I don't have Hugh balls it's because it won't make any difference. CEO will once again explain it as the company direction to be more competitive and the future vision of e commerce and stream lining the business focus. He will also say that he will continue to invest in associates as part of current and future vision as we expand more into on line sales. We are not the only company to lay off or down size or eliminate some of its people. I'm very happy to be leaving December 1st and can't wait !
i completely understand the frustration anger, anxiety. i’m there with you but honestly what would contacting the media matter? if they would even have the slightest interest. A company can do what they damn well please as long as no laws are broken. i’ve spent 2 weeks worrying every minute day and night. 12-16 hrs a week is BS. the younger ones definitely will have a better opportunity in the lousy job market. john and giselle won’t be worrying about losing their house or putting food on the table or oh yeah 3 weeks before christmas. they’re too busy texting and flying around in the damn company plane. he could have stopped this sh-- if it mattered to him.

DOES ANYONE HAVE THE BALLS TO CONTACT NEWS MEDIA AND GET WORD OUT THERE WHAT THIS COMPANY IS DOING ...THEY NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO STOP THE BLEEDING OF ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE LOST THEIR JOBS AND MORE TO COME.THE SEVERANCE IS NOTHING....THE MENTAL ANGUISH IS MENTALLY DAMAGEING FOR 55 YEAR OLDS TO FIND A NEW JOB
