They are putting more responsibility on one person to cut payroll. I work 3 and 4 open to close and by myself. Think I can give good service when I am exhausted and no one cares, but get a complaint then u get coached. They are trying to get people to go ahead and quit then they won't have to even offer severance pay. So whatever happens we won't know it until we are called into office and told. Most of the people that offered severance in the past did not see it coming.
My club hired a new Accounting Lead 3 months ago...so just because clubs are filling Optical manager positions doesn't mean this is out of the question.
I doubt that will happen. Our club recently promoted one of our optical associates to Optical manager.
I wonder how soon for Sam's if Walmart is rumored Jan. Hopefully at least another year!
Doing away with with Vision Centers is the rumor on the Walmart side. I heard it will happen in January. If it is happening on the Walmart side, better believe it will eventually happen on the Sam’s side.

If they are interviewing for the position, doesn't mean it's not going to happen. Obviously info has leaked somewhere along the line but isn't official yet, therefore they are still filling open positions pretending things are "just fine". Just my opinion
It sounds crazy but why do a 7 million $ remodel then close the store down in less than a year? nothing they do makes sense
Our store is interviewing for an optical manager now. In the last two months two optical managers have been hired in our district. Why hire these managers just to let them go?? I don't believe that is true for optical right now.
