Layoffs in SBG

Heard from a friend that two people were impacted in his team. Both about 40 years old white men.

When I was laid off September, 2016 they would not publish any information about ages of people affected. To get this information, you had to sign the release agreement first. Which proves to me that age was the big factor last year in the layoffs.

I was told to key the badge as souvenir. I threw it in the dumpster on my way out.

They have gotten really good a doing layoff packages. You don't even have to go see your boss now, just get a shipping label for you laptop and mail back your badge/amex... such a screw job.

The layoff package has a spreadsheet with title and age of everyone in your group who was laid off AND everyone who wasn't so that you can't come ask for legal discovery for age discrimination. they have done they maths and no age discrimination suit will ever happen.
