Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Will I get "the package"?

I got RIFed with 30 days WARNing. I've found another job within Oracle, but I'm not sure I'll get the actual offer until after my last day. If that happens, am I an outside hire? And if so, can I accept the package? Has anyone experience this?

You’re payout will be sent the same way as you were receiving your paycheck.

1) Why would you want to stay at a company who thought you and your position were worthless?

2) They dont like hiring people who've gotten packages before. (LE's office would check that back when he approved offers.)

3) WARN is a legal construct of the US that requires 60 days. Theres no such thing as a 30 day warn package. Doublecheck your understanding.

You might lose any stock options so double check that

What I have heard is that if you are rehired after being terminated that you will have to give back any "unused severance". So let's say you were given a 10 week severance package, if you are rehired 4 weeks later, you will have to return 6 weeks of severance pay to Oracle.
