Can and will Verizon layoff employees that are out on Short Term Disability? Has anyone had this happen to them first hand? Just curious....

Some people take things too seriously. It's Friday. What exactly does grow up mean anyway? Act like an adult? Which adult? Our president? Our parents? Professional athletes? The senior citizens next door? Mike Brady from the Brady Bunch? The Fonz? Here's a newsflash: you can actually have a good time in this life without hurting anyone else and you don't have to be stiff and lifeless. You don't have to be that guy with the pitchfork in Grant Wood's famous painting. You can actually enjoy the ride, even when things are tough at Verizon. Your family will like you more. Now if you really do want to be that pole up your butt kind of guy, then that's your problem.

I have seen it happen when someone returns from STD for a day and then gets let go. No one is safe
I had an STD But before they laid me off I made sure to spread it to as many of my coworkers as possible.
Yes happened to me I was recovering from surgery and was called 2 days before returning to be told my job was eliminated
