Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

walmartone / joke

wow! sams wants to get the tech era and I can't even get onto walmartone and check my paystub....what a joke!!! All I can do is sign on and go to home page which then I get jacked to see free layaway for associates but not us...the ugly step child...our checks say Walmart, the website is Walmart but we don't get free layaway or the 10% discount. The DC associates get 10% off, they get turkeys too !!!! They have quarterly bonus not us we have to see our sams share disappear bit by bit when there' a snow storm, hurricane, flooding and the club closes. There is no way we could ever recoop the sales to save our sams share but the dc and Walmart associates still get quarterly bonus.....I wish some one would adopt me lol!!!!

Op is probably a millennial cashier just hired that thinks the world should be handed to them for no work. Get hired at a way more competitive rate that anyone who even was hired 5 years ago. S--- it up or hit the road. You have no idea how good you have it.

I have worked for both. I will say I would actually rather have the 10% discount card than the free membership because I spend more at Walmart than Sams. But they don't want long term associates. I absolutely hated working at Walmart. Sams although it s---s is not as bad to work for.

Be careful what you wish for. Yes Walmart associates get quarterly bonuses, but the max is $500 per quarter. Trust me, it’s usually only a couple of hundreds or less. Yes, Walmart associates get 10% off purchases, but they have to pay for a Sam’s club membership. Sam’s Associates get free memberships. If you want layaway, go to Walmart and put things on layaway. If you think Walmart associates have it so good, you should transfer to the Walmart side then let me know what you think after a year or two.

I would say you're not to bright. For almost 30 yrs I have worked and loved this company and continue to do the job I'm paid to do but sam's associates have always been treated as the ugly step child. If you're not bright enough to think about it.

You sound like you need to find a new job. My position was eliminated and yet I am not as pissed or ignorant as you sound. I'm sure McDonalds is hiring.

Sam's associates do get 10% off on certain purchases. There has never been " lay away" at SAM'S, and our Sam's Share has always been given

in March. We have never been open on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years Day. You can check your schedule on the time clock, print it out from the homepage of Wire.

If you are unhappy on the Sams side, transfer to the Walmart side.

And I am one of the job eliminated

associates.
