Alltel got swallowed up by Verizon because they were the nice guys. Nice guys finish last in this business. How US Cellular is still operating, I’ll never understand.

I can’t remeber the guys name but I heard one of the front runners has a vested interest in the company that manufactures the ont’s for Verizon fios...so if he is the one, i can guarantee that he will do all that he can to build out fios. The more ont’s installed, the more money the company that he has ties to will make.
Who cares. If God was CEO and his salary was paid in miracles, it still wouldn't save this piece of $hit company.

Think about it, of all the Verizon executives Ronan is mentioned the least on here. That means he’s genuinely doing a good job and nobody can come up with an easy reason to badmouth him.
Ronan is new blood and would move the company forward in ways not seen in a generation. Again, nobody has so much as uttered a word about Ronan on here since he got hired. That’s positive enough for me.

Hans did a number on his last company their stock dropped 38% with hans at the helm,so their board of directors Fired him and had to give him $$$ to leave,if he becomes CEO of VZ what do you think will happen
all of a sudden last summer there was huge Stratton buzz, but I think Lowell decided to stay longer because of our bad 4th quarter last year. I think with Marni leaving it's written in stone. It wouldn't shock me if Lowell leaves soon, although I've been waiting for that for a while.

Magic 8 ball says it will be Hans. Frankly, they should go for talent from Hollywood/Media and leave the engineering side to the engineers. Let the engineers build the network and the Media CEO build the company.
But that makes too much sense.
Unfortunately, it will be hans. And the company will cease to exist shortly thereafter.
It may be better if the company hires someone externally. We need a complete overhaul.
