Can’t even give it away ...

MH thinks it’s sales’ fault so he’s giving SaaS away for free in his big enterprise deals...problem is little to zero uptake. Guess it’s not the sales people’s fault! The clients don’t choose oracle’scloud Products (any of them) over the competition, even when they are free.

I love the crap crap crap in bags being given away for free analogy. It’s a perfect description. There is no “cloud at customer” there is only public cloud and on-premise . Cloud at Customer is pure fiction. Vapourware.

Yeah, of course it's not the salespeople's fault. It's all crap. You can't sell crap no matter what you do.

Imagine standing on the corner with a thousand bags of crap, all labeled Oracle on the outside.

First you are trying to sell the bags to customers passing by, but you can't tell the customers what's inside the bag. Most of them aren't going to buy a bag of crap even if it does have a nice Oracle label on the outside. They're suspicious because they can't get any information about what's actually in the bag. They are not going to pay money for a bag of crap.

Now they want to stand on the corner and give out the bags of crap for free! Thinking that when the customer gets their bag of crap and looks inside, they will be thrilled with the crap they were able to get for free and then buy some more!!

Not going to happen, is it?

It's all crap because the development management has been taken over by a bunch of narcissistic thugs and freaks who have no idea how to develop software. Even when they buy another company, they destroy what was built by that company.

It's all crap...... crap, crap, crap everywhere.

Oracle cloud is a piece of sh*t any way you look at it, then again the oracle actually doesn’t want to deliver any cloud, just collect cloud revenues for existing on-prem stuff, which is why it’s liquidating the sales org

let's just say this: the current SaaS onboarding of customers is dicey at best.

they are trying to automate things, but whoever is in charge of mapping the onboarding workflow and its communication touchpoints (automated messaging to both oracle employees and outside customer admins and users) is an EPIC DISASTER. messages are auto-triggered and come in at random times, duplicate instances of provisioning occur frequently for new clients and on and on and on. Its like a bunch of foreign kindergardeners just learning to code are just running amuck over in cloud ops. Nevermind the messages themselves. Clip art design and bizarro grammar.

Didn't they do that with fusion apps several years ago? Couldn't sell it so they gave it away free? I remember something like that, that was before I worked at Oracle.

Oh, and when a client does sign up for SaaS in one of those accounts you can bet it’s because some sales reps worked extraordinarily hard to convince the client to sign up. 90% of the time the clients don’t prefer or even know about oracles offering. There’s little to zero marketing (LE doesn’t believe in marketing) and what marketing there is looks like clip art with a few low end photos of white guys in tacky suits probably from a Russian image sharing site.

It’s a disaster.

Meanwhile Hurd is building his own kingdom over in Austin, Texas where he will rule the roost at oracle hq#2. Larry has no idea how duped he has been by MH. It’ll be too late when he figures it out.
