I need to escape from here now that many folks are talking about potential layoffs in Norwalk.

They are laying off everyone but what they consider that absolutely necessary "core" but what they don't know is that "core" is a bunch of do-nothing and s----ups that know only how to make themselves look important. In short order Icahn will be left with a totally useless company that even he can't fool some s---er into buying. It's time for Xerox to disappear completely as it's nothing but a bad memory for most Xerox employees and x-employees.
Replying to some replies:
- My E2 level manager also rented a Dodge Charger to be in Webster for the 8/16 IRIF.
Most other weeks are in airplanes and hotels attending conferences and damaging the Xerox brand.
- Xerox remains an icahnic USA company. The Fuji deal never materialized.
Just laid off this morning and notice as I was followed out that the department chief watched from the driver seat of a rental car (Dodge Charger) as several of their own staff was escorted out. Cowardly

If you want a career, you don't want to look at Xerox for it. EVERYONE lives/works in fear of when will I get IRIF or forced to VRIF. They don't care about their employees, its all about cutting people to reduce salaries while all other AMERICAN companies are giving out bonuses and raises. oh that's right Xerox is no longer an AMERICAN COMPANY...
Of course leave on good terms. I was laid off and went back to school and have a way better paying job in a totally different field.
I was laid off from Xerox in March.
Get your resume up to date and tell your references what is going on. You will probably need three references. Get their latest phone numbers and addresses. Apply for employment security. It's not much but it will help you. Don't apply for temporary insurance, it will cost you a bundle, I mean hundreds a month.
Leave on good terms with everybody, You can tell them what you really think of them later, when you're driving home in your car. Then you can say what you want and properly chew their asses out.
