Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Sale after sale, with less product coming in

We keep having sale after sale and I have seen a drop in the amount of product we are bringing in. Not a drastic one, but it's definitely less. Should I be worried that our store is closing? There has been no announcement, and I've been looking around to see if it was on any of the lists being circulated, but it's not there. Still, with the state Sears in these days, I am still really worried.

With the recent news of Bruce leaving, in my opinion sears will likely file for BK sometime in late Oct or Nov so they can liquidate during the high volume sales of the holiday season. after the new year sales drop big time and who wants to shop when they have drained their funds for the Christmas gifts they just bought

Even if you haven't heard anything about your Sears closing I would be of the mindset that yours will close down at some point (and soon). My advice, get your affairs in order and try to look for new employment ASAP.

I'm mean, sure, you could hold out and maybe get unemployment/severance pay but there are rumors that Sears won't have enough to for severance once all is said and done and unemployment will dry up eventually and if you have a family that probably won't be enough to live off of.

Long story short, get out and find something new, NOW.

Eventually the entire empire will fold like a cheap suit!!

Company has too much debt and not enough sales

It’s just a matter of time
