Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

More UnitedHealth layoffs in January 2018

This isn't the end of layoffs. In Jan 2018, there will be more layoffs. If you are still in BPQM, I would suggest to look for a new job.

Quality will be cut more as the audit programs are condensed. Any team lead should be looking, as all roles are being taken away from team leads.

Bumped from @PMNh4yu-1djd for info.

I guess this was a rumor. Haven't heard of anymore cuts in QuEST since the beginning of the year.

i heard a rumor that there's a patch of wooded ground between NJ Hwy 287 and the Basking Ridge campus parking lot - where legacy mainframe developers are being sacrificed in rituals by senior managers. the rumor is that the staff is led to their isolated ends by 'Alexa', who answers their queries of "Alexa.. where's my seperation package money?" with responses of "your seperation package money is close by.. keep walking.. to your right.. yes.. just behind that big tree.. "

they say the ID tags are collected prior to tossing the mutilated carcasses onto the highway for speeding tractor-trailers to mash them beyond recognition - and that the ID tags are pushed into a drain pipe just off the highway's shoulder.

sorry.. gotta go.. i think someone's calling my name..

"Alexa.. is that you?"

"yes.. please log off and come outside"

I will be with M&R BPQM (QuEST) until tomorrow, though the position itself doesn't end until Jan 2, 2018. We were advised of this at the end of September and little to no placement help and only a handful if that were redeployed. The whole thing is crap. And it's true about the severance agreement. It indeed asks us to basically ignore some of our constitutional rights for the sake of their reputation. Absolutely despicable.

Im a team lead in the Atlanta office. All our TL positions have been decommissioned as of 11/06. Operations spoke with HR and was advised as long as hour hours do not change and title does not change then they can advise of us that we are transitioning to a 'help line' queue. The first 15 are basically working under a different hierarchy now and basically implementing this team. Oh, and we will be handling all q&a sup calls escalations literally anything staff needs via an ext. However, no raise. Was advised via email we were selected bc we are blue chip team leads but not valuable enough for better pay, better health insurance, bonuses, nor raises. As my yearly raise last year was $.09 and this year I do not qualify for a raise. Figures. Do not hire staff directly only through temp agencies. Heard through grapevine atl office may be shut down permanently. Idk? ANYONE

This is stressful. I work for a company that gets acquired by optum and now there is a mass layoff and the company will almost be non-existent come 2018. Time to start looking for another company.

I agree with PO7ibc4-7yuj. I’ve never seen so many cuts in the almost 20 yrs I worked at Uhc. Very scary.

More layoffs in 2017. If they stick to the pattern, there will be layoffs this week. There are an abundance of re-orgs across the company. Positions are frozen. Apparently this happens every few years, but I've never seen cuts this deep, that have lasted so long and been kept such a secret.

I believe it! I was laid off from BPQM and I've heard a few things that have been going on since the layoff and things don't seem right. I see more layoffs in January as well which will be the perfect time for UHC since it'll be at the end of the 4th quarter. They have to keep their shareholders happy.
