As if the layoffs over the last two years was not enough there are confirmed discussions of another 10% layoff something for early 2018. The company is not measuring up to expectations so the working staff will pay the price.

My manager scheduled a one on one with me today out of the blue!
The numbers are bad across multiple organizations. It's coming. I expect it to start at the end of October - early November (quarters end) with PIPs. As far as who is targeted, it's anyone's guess. They will target some higher paid field sales teams for sure because of the glut incurred via the EMC acquisition - lots of people doing the same thing. There is still much dysfunction across both organizations. Legacy EMC managers and Legacy Dell managers are fighting it out. It should really pick up in February, when the PIPs come to term and Dell reaches the end of its' fiscal year - that's when people will be shown the door, but the ugliness will start much sooner.
Dell needs a tax write off for 2018 so this makes perfect sense
Yes because stock share price is always an accurate reflection of a companies health.
Company not measuring up? really . . I guess the doubling of the DVMT Share price in a year is all luck and an act of god.

I cannot wait until the incompetent, overpaid, useless managers start turning on each other.
EASY MONEY - CUT SALARIES
good luck waiting for incompetent management to turn things around with their "skills"
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.wake me when it is done.
Too many management layers. ORSD, Managers, SC's, AE's. ISR's.
I got it last month. Pretty glad to have it happen actually. I'm now home with my family. I found a decent job inside of three weeks. Thankfully i didn't have too many people in my area get it at the same time, so I didn't have to compete with them for a job.
EMC managers are fighting each other for work as I type.
ok. then hire another 10% elsewhere cheaper.
Do you know locations will be affected by this 10% cut?
Bring it! I'm so done with Dell.
Hope I get it at this point..fingers crossed
