Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Tired of the posts that say "trust me", "wait and see", or "just wait for the email"!

If you have actual information, then please share it. The tiny bits and pieces being dropped by people supposedly in the know is down right cruel and sketchy. I don't doubt you have information, but it's beyond sketchy when all you can say is , "just wait for the email" ! It just leaves everyone to jump to conclusions and over react. We all know big changes are coming in November. But if you know more then tell us rather than dancing that carrot in front of us.

Some people enjoy the added drama!

Most of the time even the OP will not know until the morning of the event and they are often one of the cut. (Scorched Earth Method) It will be often a whole group and a HR Rep and maybe even a number of security folks will bring everyone together and give the news. In a word. Bye

I am thankful for the bits and pieces and understand that those who are in the know have to be careful. Our coach did not cancel 1-1 meetings; I think that would be careless on any coach's part. I am sure that they are looking at their productivity along with their team's productivity. A 1-1 is an opportunity for that coach to counsel each associate. I would think there would be documentation for that. This is the first time that we have not heard that the HCM RNS are safe. For me, that is the writing on the wall.

I would love to share everything I know, but that would put me in a small pool of people. The bottom line is this. Every department at every level is being reviewed. This is going to be significant and far reaching. That's all anyone knows at this point except for directors.

@POF2QOC-akb Humana don't care what you post on this site, the idea of confidentiality was lost on the first RIF. They have a process that we have seen over the last year, they will not change from that process. We were told more this time with the 'early retirement' email than previously.

Expect this to be all finished before the end of the year, off the budget sheet prior to the next financial quarter.

Nobody will know the numbers involved until just a few days prior to the meetings. Anyone working at Humana is at risk, they told us so. If you have the chance to take another job then do it.

My coach is in shock about this and has cancelled 1:1's. Conversation about job cuts is dismissed as speculation but my coach is not convincing, she must be at risk as well.

If this is not a helpful site or is making someone sick please don't visit this site. I value the information and it helps my stress. Can you imagine if we did not know anything. We can at least plan for a layoff.

OP, I get where you are coming from, but this is a layoff site with the description, “Post information you know, rumors you heard, your experiences, or contribute to the discussion by answering or asking about layoffs at Humana Inc.. “. So if colleagues are making themselves sick from the speculation here, the best thing you could do is advise them to take a break from this site. Because there will be speculation.

I would also make an effort - speaking for myself only here- to avoid bashing anyone who may be trying to offer information while carefully protecting their identity. Even if we take someone with a grain of salt because of the anonymity, we can still show appreciation or at least avoid accusing them of trying to start drama, when their intentions could very well be to share information.

I'm the OP. I don't ever expect someone to give details that will divulge who they are, nor am I trying to bully people into giving info. It's the cryptic posts that make very little sense that I am complaining about. The previous poster was much clearer when stating she has been told CMs on her team are being cut but she doesn't know who or when. That's actual information. I have teammates who come in here all the time and try to decipher the cryptic messages and end up freaking themselves out. Some are sick from the stress of speculating. If you know certain roles are being eliminated or significantly downsized, just say it plainly. And please don't follow up with....well just wait till the email comes out. We don't doubt an email is coming. We were warned about another important email that came out so I know there is truth in this. I appreciate all the straightforward info that is not hidden in a cryptic message.

Nobody can come on here and say, “I know abc because I am in dept X and my role is ——.” So if someone is able to share something, and they have the heart and guts to do so, let’s not bash them.

I believe that Humana is being very tight lipped about the specifics, because of fear that it will be leaked on this site. If only a small group are aware of the details, they'll know who's giving information away. I will sit tight, do my job and wait for the email. There's not much more we can do and stressing over it makes it worse. All we can do is wait and stick together instead of tear eachother apart. Please continue to share what you know and mayne we can put the pieces together for an answer.

That's because we don't have an exact date yet. It hasn't been shared. Was I told they were cutting cms in my program? Yes. Was I told who on my team? No. Was I given an exact date? No. So I share what I know.
