Do they do promos and raises this fall?

Anyone knows if this focal includes raises and promos like a year ago? Or is it stock only?

Software Engineers at Cisco, are HEAVILY underpaid. At least in San Jose area.

Yes, the work is more flexible, but I don't think this justifies the magnitude of underpayment.

II recently interviewed at Tier 1 Sillicon Valley companies, and now have offers at hand in excess of double of my current total-comp.

Did anyone tried asking Cisco to match external offers with so big difference?

I've been in Cisco for over two years now. Not a single penny increase. Not a single RSU.

That, and the unrealistic goaling due to the a--hole toddlership that keeps f---ing things up for everyone.

The whole Twice a year Focal-Merit Cycle is a lie. It routinely is funded for just once a year. As this year, below grade 12 get nothing until may be Q3, if that program happens then. Grade 12 and up now, so basically that means execs/PE/DSE will s--- up any RSUs not already taken away for the acquisition retention.

Don't come to Cisco for Stock or RSUs. Those days are gone.

Promotions and raises moved to FY18 H2 (no date). RSUs this quarter mainly for grade 12+.

There are constant promotions of manager to senior manager, director to senior director, vp to senior vp. They promote their friends and family members.
