Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

More info on incomig layoffs

I have heard D Day is Nov 1, when the emails will come out....not sure if that is true, also heard that the HCM RN teams will be cut in half basically 60 teams down to 30 teams, or around that number. So the question is how are they going to make the cuts? will it be those that struggle to maintain MOC at 70% of contacts, cause that is the main focus right now, coaches are saying that they have to let COM's know if anyone is under the 70% for two weeks in a row, or just has trouble maintaining it. It really wouldnt make sense to cut HCM's that have been here a while, and know the system and are managing their rosters very well and are always above that number, because as we all know, once the chopping is done, those that are left will have even more responsibility and work than before, so if your not already on top of your game, its not gonna be any easier after the lay off.

Bumped from @PO92MhG-sie for info.

Agreed, below poster. There are already leaders and coaches reviewing calls, and there are more than a few reviewers who aren’t the brightest bulbs.

If they are trying to save $$$ the first cuts should be the useless audits by Quality.

As if HCM RNs members going to monitored was not enough, FCMs will keep our LTIH mbrs for telephonic calls. That goes for Humana FCMs as well as those hired by contracted ones. They will not come back to us.

Not sure about the speculation that D-day is November 1st.

Those who applied for the early retirement being offered won't have confirmation of the offer acceptance until November 3rd.

I assume that too. Network is cheaper.

has anyone heard anything about FCMS? I assume they will lay us off and continue with only network.

Yep. Was just told coaches are looking at EVERYTHING and reporting it. How soon do you get on the phone? How long do you usually take between calls? Do you stop calling too early in the day? How long is your average prep time? And of course, do you hit the stupid flipping metrics?

Considering all of HAH is under WF, we all are in trouble.

Now i hear that coaches are requested to give "details" of each HCM production and %'s for a month period for review. That is awful considering some of us had vacation, family crisis' and illnesses. How can your career be laid out and determined by a 30 day period ?Told Coaches have a instructive to give this info to their COM and NOT to discuss with their teams....NICE HUH

SORRY did BOO BOO in initials MF email came out with eamil today and i was meaning WF and any under him are under the gun.....HSO area. And that HCM teams cut in half...

The reason doing Nov early CUT is so they do not have to pay that Jan Bonus we were promised for no raises this year....CUT us so do not have to give us that bonus. Slimy as usual. That email from MF to other area is not the MF i was told. Anyone in HSO under MWFLE is under the chop block. Plus told 50% of the HCM's teams are being cut...nice huh...and YES it is from VERY reliable sourse and NO not saying this to cause drama just giving warning so we are not surprised....Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas from Humana...hmmmm

What shall I do today? Oh I know, I’ll visit a layoff board and post condescending comments aimed at people who are worried about their job security. Something along the lines of “it’s just business, you fools. Try meditating, you nervous Nellies.”

You are right below poster. Nothing WRONG with not letting employees know their fate and dragging things along for business purposes. You keep drinking the corporate kool-aid and living in your bubble. It must get lonely in there!

For many people, the threat of job cuts every quarter for a year, and watching colleagues lose jobs over and over - for many people, this is out of the ordinary. From a business perspective, maybe not, but from a human perspective, the “drama” is a reality this year.

I can't help but laugh at the folks all worked up over one little email stating someone has taken a newly formed position. Those fearing it is a sign or one giant conspiracy, you might try meditation or medication. I feel bad that even a benign email can't make you worry. We are all stressed, but some are creating stress. I hope you have ways other than this board to cope with your stress. Dwelling in the negative will only bring you down more.

Drama, drama, drama! Have any of you ever been through a re-alignment and restructure of a company? This is typical. Nothing out of the ordinary or "ominous" about it. If we keep reading into every single move, we are going to drive ourselves nuts. The entire company is making cuts. People seem to live in a HAH bubble and don't see that there is life beyond it. Every single Humana department is being evaluated for cuts. These company wide cuts just happen to coincide with the restructuring of the healthcare services division. In the health insurance industry, restructure is key and expected.

“Nothing going on here folks, keep smiling and dialing with our #1 focus...the members. Please!”

Exactly, poster. There is certainly reason for concern.

Ominous was several that lead the HAH retire in the 1st and 2nd quarter of this year and we were told it was just a coincidence. Nothing going on here folks, keep smiling and dialing with our #1 focus...the members. Please! Total realignment in management to meet the new model for 2.0 and there is reason to be concerned, obviously!

I don’t know anything about MF’s reassignment and I don’t care, the HI article that spelled out that layoffs are coming - well that’s more than ominous, that’s reality being spelled out for us.

We know layoffs are coming and that may cause people to read into everything. Such a stressful year...

MF served the purpose! He drove many to quit and they needed to thin the herd for their rebranding and 'New and exciting 2.0!'

Why is MF being reassigned ominous?

by

Post ID: @vuf+PPXfjls

Nothing ominous about it! Come on! I was wondering when people would start dramatizing. He took a new position...big whoop! A lot of management will be moving around. Nothing sinister about the time it was sent either. Geesh! All of you who blame MF for evetything, despite being 4th down the chain, should be thrilled. A new VP will be named soon, meaning telephonic will still exist, unless you conspiracy theorists will now think that position will not get filled and they are lying to us. It's too early for these conspiracy theories.

Wondering if it's really worth it to bust my butt everyday to hit numbers. If I don't I could lose my job, if I do I could lose my job. One of my teammates never hits her numbers and is still here. Go figure

My concern is, I had to take 3 weeks off between May and October. CT only made two calls/day so my Performance Summary was bad. Got caught up only to have to take few days off again. Of course I have been here 7 years so have vacation time accumulated. Certainly hope they look beyond those #'s in making this decision.

I agree. Better to know sooner than later. Sad part, as a HCM RN, it is so time consuming to close all those care plans on members that went to monitor status, there is no way we can reach all of our members in time to make that decision before someone else takes over our rosters. Good luck everyone!
