@Tpvq, if the claim is serious enough to notify HR about it, best contact an Attorney first and have your lawyer send the complaint in writing to HR. Nothing gets HR’s attention more than a lawyer knocking on the door. They’ll take you very seriously and get it handled, even if it has to do with the son of the Area Manager.

Nepotism protected the s-xual predator/harasser area managers son from being let go. HR will not protect you. Even with a report to the hotline... the company is not what it once was.

With oil price making a comeback, sjvbu should be ok. They will abandon layoffs.

Sh-- is flying all over SJVBU, seems like a new company has taken over and their so called transformation plan to run the BU is so primitive. All the exec team starting with the football dropout VP, completely unimpressive GMO girl and what not are childish at best. Years of legacy work in well producing assets and mature work culture is going to be lost. Most of leaders including the newly selected a-- licker Ops manager and FE Manger have no idea how the new org is going to work they are like dears in head light during town halls. The subsurface that SJVBU was so proud will be equally impacted especially with good old Mr Tubbs who is always struggling to stay awake during meetings.

I will not be surprised if they have some incidents in years to come.

Scratch Phillips66 unless you are a youngster willing to take a pay cut over Chevron. Phillips 66 is a great company but right now they are hiring college grads and professionals under 40 years old. I’m not sure of the other companies mentioned below, but I wouldn’t be surprised their hiring plans are similar. Good luck. Better start practicing your kissing up skills and do it with with finesse if you want to have an edge on keeping your job.

26% is pretty big. Good luck people. I was laid off last year and went into upstream. 1 in 4 both field and office. My advice is to start looking and applying even if you think there's a chance you'll be cut. Here's some options in the energy sector. Best wishes folks
